NOTE: TONIGHT’S SHOW IS SOLD OUT. NO DOOR TICKETS THIS TIME.
We’re bringing you another first this September. A special two night event where the theme “This is Where I Lost It” inspires three different art forms. This is a collaboration with The Hudson Valley Writers’ Center, the region’s premier resource for advancing the craft of writing, and Totemic17, an artist collective know for concept-driven woodcut projects that introduce new artists to the market.
When:  Sept 8, Doors 7:30pm, Show 8pm
Theme: THIS IS WHERE I LOST IT
Venue:  The Hudson Valley Writers’ Center
300 Riverside Dr – Sleepy Hollow

About the theme: Remember that time you lost it? Was it your… temper? inhibition? mojo? sanity? religion? virginity? house keys???

About the Show: We’ll start off on Friday evening with a traditional evening of Pros(e) of Pie storytelling (and pie, of course!).
PLUS:
– HVWC has put out a call for submissions of 200-word flash-prose (200 words or less, true or not) on the theme. Email submissions, with subject line “Lost”, to marketing@writerscenter.org by August 15th. Select submissions will be featured.
– Totemic17 will present a selection of woodcut prints made just for the theme, featuring works by renowned Finnish artist Tuukka Peltonen.

You can just sit back and enjoy the show or join the fun – sign up for a 5 mins open mic slot or enter a pie in our bake-off. Free admission if you let us know in advance that you’re bringing a pie!

**PLEASE NOTE: The following evening, Sept. 9, will be a festive free reception exhibiting the beautiful woodcut prints and celebrating the best of the submitted flash-prose. Come to one or BOTH nights, if you can!
