Sept Theme: “DON’T KNOW MUCH”

Posted on

We’re back from an amazing week at Chautauqua Institution where we taught a 5-day storytelling workshop and presented a special edition of PoP! With a full class and a packed audience, this may become part of the growing PoP tradition.

Get ready for a great Fall line-up, starting with a return to an amazing venue we discovered earlier this year.  For September’s show, we’re back at Center @ 862 in Scarsdale. Last time, 862’s convenience to the train station and pre-show dinner options lured audiences from Connecticut, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. Just make sure you save room for dessert!

When: Sept 12th, 8pm
Theme: DON’T KNOW MUCH
Venue:  Center @ 862
             862 Scarsdale Ave – Scarsdale

BUY YOUR TICKETS EARLY!

About the theme: Tell us about that time you didn’t have all the information — Did you jump to conclusions? Make a fool of yourself? Did you have to wing it? How’d it turn out? Maybe you just had that “Don’t know much Biology” song stuck in your head. We want to hear your tales and how they turned out!

Pie bakers welcome: Tempted to see how your pie-baking skills stack up against your neighbors? Here’s an incentive for entering a pie in our bake-off. Your pie gets you one free admission! Please keep in mind: to get your free ticket, you MUST let us know what type of pie you’re bringing a pie at least TWO days in advance of the show.  Get in touch soon with the type of pie and we’ll reserve your spot!

Storytellers: We’ll have prepared storytellers and plenty of open mic slots. If you have a great story you’d like to share, email co-producers Ivy Eisenberg or Zak Shusterman. Don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of open mic slots that night too.

We all have a story within us. Come share, listen, and eat!
